Can your tutors honestly say that they earned profits in excess of £100,000 a year as wedding or event managers? All of our teaching staff have built businesses, worked freelance and have experience in both the wedding and event management industries. You're not interested in tutors who scraped a living, so we only employ big stars of the industry who can focus all of their attention on you, not their businesses.

If one of your competitors offered to teach you would you really believe everything they said? You'd take it all with a pinch of salt because deep down you know it wouldn't be in their interest to create another competitor. All WPS tutors are now retired from the wedding planning industry and so they are not your competitors. They stay abreast of wedding trends and practises by helping to supervise work experience placements and networking with suppliers.


How do we compare to other colleges?

We run wedding planning courses in London, wedding planning courses in Bristol and Bath, wedding planner courses in the UK, Italy, Leeds, Leicester, Swindon, Wales and anywhere else that you demand. If you want to train to become a wedding planner or event manager but can't spare a weekend yet, you can study wedding planning and/or events management from home.

We do not know a great deal about other colleges/institutions other than what we can see from their websites. The main differences that we can tell are that we run accredited weekend taught courses and home-study courses and we are not aware that others do. This shows that our courses are thorough, that we have visible and accessible tutors, and should you find that you struggle with the course or wish to gain higher accreditation we can provide different styles of teaching to help motivate you to complete the course.


Practical work experience exclusive to our alumni (graduates)

We arrange supervised and unsupervised work experience placements nationwide which wehave not seen other colleges provide. We also offer an Event Management course, both on its own and as a combined course with wedding planning which most do not. This is invaluable for maintaining a steady income during the low wedding season.

Our courses each follow 3 stages to make sure that everything you learn is in the most sensible order, without you getting information overload. Our courses develop you as your career and experience develops. Likewise, our course content can be directly used as a basis for your own business systems e.g. formulating questionnaires that can be used in real life business planning; event theme designs that be kept and re-used when dealing with clients etc.

You get the best supplier contacts and discounts from the start

We are completely independent, so we do not take fees from advertisers or try to influence our students choice in suppliers etc. We are in the process of negotiating commissions and reduced fees for all WPS qualified wedding planners with a selection of pre-approved suppliers which we do free of charge as a courtesy to our students. We work closely with Learn Direct, Emagister, Hotcourses and other associated regional development agencies and the learning and skills council to make sure our courses are understood and accessible to all employers and individuals worldwide.


You get free marketing and advertising opportunities

Our courses give a great deal of thought into getting you new clients and running a successful profitable business, as well as the planning aspect of being a wedding planner or event manager. Whether you work for yourself or are employed by someone else, marketing is fundamental to your success and we continually strive to promote the benefits of using a wedding planner through PR and regular television appearances by our tutors and trustees. We've had students featured in some of the top glossy magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Brides, Wedding Ideas and Company, and newspapers including the Independent, the Express and the Telegraph. Once qualified, you are able to place a free link on our website to your own site and your contact details can be given out by us to all enquiring brides/event clients if you like.


Qualifications that mean something

The WPS certificates (levels 1,2 & 3) are real vocational industry qualifications, and without which, you have little to fall back on should a client request information about your training and experience. We have had 100% positive feedback from past students which speaks for the value of the course and teaching. Hotcourses rates us as a five-star college, we have recently been awarded full accreditation by the International Association of Distance Learning for our customer service and course content and we continue to build links and associations with other prestigious bodies to make you look good.
