We currently have a vacancy in the South East for a lecturer of wedding planning and events management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years working full time in the wedding and/or events sector, have personal experience of starting or taking over a successful business, have global awareness, experience of marketing, sales and financial record keeping. Ideally they will be educated to degree level or be a high achiever and have proven profits of £50,000 p.a. or turnover exceeding £100,000 in the past. Teaching qualification is desirable but not necessary as training will be given. Work is primarily 3-6 weekends p.a. although some one-to-ones will occur on weekdays.
General notes: We do not accept staff members who work for more than one school or college. During the period of contract you must not be operating as a wedding planner due to conflict of interest. We require an experienced self-employed make-up artist in each region who is not only talented in their own right but able to demonstrate and impart their knowledge to others in a fun way according to our pre-defined syllabus. Work will be irregular, but increasing. You will help to source venues, promote courses and event-manage your class with the support of your own assistant. You will provide your own kit and a selection of shared tools (students will supply their own make up and model and brushes are supplied as part of the course fee).
